Building Resilient Structures (Imperial)

This undergraduate course provides an agile and dynamic introduction to the principles of earthquake engineering to students from all faculties of Imperial College. No engineering background is assumed and the students get to apply the new concepts to the design, 3D printing and shake table testing of a model structure.

Seismic Design of Steel Structures (Imperial)

This graduate course introduces the seismic design and assessment of conventional steel structures. Although some emphasis is placed on European provisions, the fundamental nature of the concepts and principles discussed should enable students to undertake the practical earthquake resistant design of common forms of steel structures in general.

Structural Dynamics (Imperial)

This undergraduate module provides students with a general grounding in the basic concepts and principles of structural dynamics. It introduces the most common dynamic phenomena in structural engineering and trains students in their idealisation, analysis and solution. It only covers single degree of freedom systems.
